A graduate of the Ponce School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico, Dr. Gilberto Ramirez served as an intern and resident in surgery at New York Medical College/Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, NY, and as an intern and resident in internal medicine at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Dr. Ramirez is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Medical Association. Dr. Ramirez has been in practice for 30 years. He speaks multiple languages, including Spanish.

Dr. Srinivasulu Conjeevaram is an urgent care specialist at the Urgent Care Center of Connecticut in Bloomfield, CT. He ensures the best medical care to his patients with evidence-based medicine and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools.

Dr. Conjeevaram earned his medical degree from J.S.S. Medical College. An avid researcher, he has authored and presented several articles in his field of work. He is a wound care expert and is trained to provide immediate medical assistance to his patients with compassion and care.

Dr. Conjeevaram is multilingual, making him accessible to a diverse population. He emphasizes preventative care through routine visits and open communication. He is committed to meeting the highest standards of medical excellence, quality, and efficiency. In his spare time, Dr. Conjeevaram enjoys cricket and thoroughbred horse racing.

Laurie has been an RN since June of 1972. After graduating from the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, she worked for 2 years in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Post Coronary Care Unit (PCCU). She then worked at the Springfield and Johnson Memorial Surgery Centers where she scrubbed and circulated on cases for 13 years. From there she worked at the Visiting Nurses Association for 2 years until finally in 1990 she found a permanent home working under Dr. Ramirez in charge of Medical & Surgery. She continues to work as an RN in charge of Medical & Surgery as well as manage the Urgent Care Center of Connecticut and Ramirez Private Practice as the Practice Manager.

Ms. Huma Khaliq is a physician assistant and urgent care specialist, who is trained to provide immediate medical assistance to her patients. She provides quality treatment to the residents of Bloomfield, CT.

Ms. Khaliq earned her bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies from Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Center. She was a Robert Bryd academic scholar from 1998 to 2002. She received her certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Ms. Khaliq is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Urdu, she can work with a diverse clientele with a quiet, easy, and calm demeanor. Her hard work, passion, and love for her work are visible in her method of diagnosis and treatment. She holds herself to the highest standard of patient care and guides them towards a healthy and fulfilling life every day.

Stephanie grew up in South Jersey, receiving her degree in 2007 from Seton Hall University. She is married with two boys and loves spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite hobbies are hiking and running outside, and board games.
The "puzzle" of medicine influenced her to be a PA.
She was in primary care for 13 years and now practices in urgent care.

Michaela was born and raised in CT but went to Wagner College in New York where she entered a 5-year direct entry BS/MS program in Physician Assistant studies. She was valedictorian of her P.A. class and graduated Summa cum laude.

She briefly worked in cardiology until she found a home here at the Urgent Care Center of Connecticut and Ramirez Private Practice. She cares about providing quality treatment to all her patients and enjoys helping them with a wide variety of medical ailments and complaints.

Gianna is a Physician Assistant who was born and raised in Connecticut. She attended school at Springfield College where she entered a 6-year direct entry BS/MS program in Physician Assistant studies.

Gianna has an array of experience through her clinical work at various medical settings while attending Springfield College. She is very excited to join the team at the Urgent Care Center of Bloomfield and looks forward to utilizing the knowledge and skills learned to provide quality of care to her patients.
