We conduct testing in our office 7 days a week during normal office hours. Rapid and PCR tests available.
Limited number of tests available daily Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
What is a rapid test? Called the Rapid Antigen Test, results are processed in the lab in the office. An antigen test detects protein coating of the SARS-Cov-2 (COVID 19) virus. They have a lower sensitivity thus have a lower accuracy. Rapid tests are done in the office is you are traveling within 24 hours or experiencing symptoms.
What is a PCR test? A PCR test stands for polymerase chain reaction test and involves a nasal swab to determine if you have the Covid-19 virus. PCR tests are done in the office but then sent to an outside lab to be analyzed. PCR tests are done in the office If you have been exposed to the virus or traveling within a few days (up to 3)
How long will it take to get my results? Typically, a rapid test takes 30 minutes to process and then we provide travel documents. A PCR test gets sent to the lab and results are usually available in 24 to 48 hours. They will show up in your MyChart account or you can call the office.
Which one should I take for travel? That depends on what your airline or country that is requesting. Visit your airline website for details before coming to the office.
How is it paid for? The government has stopped covering the cast of testing so now you must have insurance or you will be a self pay.
